在这次全国严打斗争中,辽宁省各级公安机关集中力量,大力度、高投入、超常规开展缉逃行动,从4月20日至6月20日,全省抓获省内外逃犯5229名,其中抓获省厅在册逃犯238名。围绕抓实加大领导力度这次严打斗争,辽宁各级党政领导高度重视追逃工作,以强烈的政治责任感实实在在地加强对这项工作的领导。一是不走过场,着力抓实效。严打中,各级党政领导,都把追逃作为一项重要任务来抓。工作上,他们既亲自帮助公安机关研究问题,亲自部署工作,又深入实际狠抓落实,做到不走过场,务见实效。省委书记顾金池、省长闻世震等领导同志不但对追逃工作亲自部署,提出要求,而且还深入实际,经常听取追逃工作汇报,督促检查追逃工作落实情况。抚顺市特缉支队是专司追逃职能的机构,严打期间,省委书记顾金池、省委副书记曹伯纯先后来这里检查追逃工作。在省领导的带动下,市县区党政领导对追逃工作也高度重视,抓得实在。
