一古龙山在大连市复县镇郊北侧,其地理位置为北纬39°1’,东经122°1’(图一)。古龙山山体均由古生代寒武纪石灰岩构成,因石灰岩的质地较纯,多年来一直生产石灰。1981年当地建材工人在采石时发现了一个小型洞穴,洞穴中的堆积物埋藏着极其丰富的脊椎动物化石。大连自然博物馆有关人员从当年起进行了两度发掘,据初步统计,所获材料有:各类脊椎动物化石数万件,经人工敲击的兽骨片数百件,以及少量经人工打击过的石制品。1983年,笔者等又在这一地点进行了地质观察。
One ancient dragon in the northern suburbs of Fuxing County in Dalian City, its geographical location is latitude 39 ° 1 ’, longitude 122 ° 1’ (Figure 1).
