Adzuki beans belong to leguminous crops. The sown area in Shanxi Province is about 12700 hm2 (average of three years from 1999 to 2001), which occupies an important proportion of small grains in both sown area and output. With China’s accession to the WTO and the improvement of people’s living standard, the demand for it is getting larger and larger.
