甘草是新疆野生豆科植物里的一个优势种群,广泛分布于南北疆荒漠地带,具有较强的耐旱、耐盐碱等特性,其地上部分可作为饲草,地下部分则是重要的常用药材,被誉为祖国医药宝库中的“国宝”。近年来,国外大量利用甘草的天然色素和甜味作为食品添加剂,甘草已成为我国重要的出口物资。新疆是我国重要的甘草生产地,但由于乱采滥挖,野生甘草资源遭到严重破坏。为了恢复和发展新疆的甘草生产,进行大面积人工栽培,我们试图通过组织培养方法,达到快速繁殖甘草种苗的目的,已获初步成功。
Licorice is a dominant species in the wild leguminous plants in Xinjiang and is widely distributed in the desert areas of northern and southern Xinjiang. It has strong drought tolerance, salt tolerance and other characteristics. The aboveground part can be used as forage grass and the underground part is an important common Medicinal herbs, known as the treasury of medicine in the motherland, “national treasure.” In recent years, extensive use of natural licorice pigment and sweetness as a food additive, licorice has become an important export material. Xinjiang is an important producer of licorice in our country. However, wild licorice resources have been severely damaged due to indiscriminate excavation. In order to restore and develop the production of licorice in Xinjiang and carry out large-area artificial cultivation, we have tried to achieve the goal of rapid propagation of licorice seedlings by tissue culture method, which has achieved initial success.
