波士顿是一个富文化气息、学术风气极盛的城市,座落于这座城市的大学, 也就因而占尽了先天上的优势。在这座北美教育名城中,著名大学比比皆是, 像培育出7位美国总统的哈佛大学、世界一流大学之一麻省理工、美国著名女校卫斯理学院等。而本期我将向大家介绍在这古典、优雅、浪漫的文化古城中屹立了一百五十六年的波士顿大学(BostonUniversity,简称BU)。在介绍这所大学之前,先让我们了解一下波士顿的异域风情吧。位于美国东海岸马萨诸塞洲的波士顿,是美国上流社会的典型代表,市内的波士顿交响乐团(Boston Symphony Orcllestra),是所有美国乐团中最具有贵族气息的, 尤其是弦乐合奏特别优美,受人称赞。小泽征尔是亚裔音乐家得以执掌美国一流乐团的极少数例子之一,自从小泽征尔到来,他们的音乐更具年轻人的朝气。
Boston is a rich culture, academic atmosphere of the city, located in the city’s university, which thus took the innate advantages. In this famous educational city in North America, famous universities abound, like Harvard University, which fostered seven U.S. presidents, MIT, one of the world’s top universities, and the Wesleyan School of the United States. This issue will introduce you to BostonUniversity (BUU), which stood for 156 years in this ancient, elegant and romantic city. Before introducing this university, let’s take a look at the exotic Boston. Boston, on the east coast of the United States of Massachusetts, is a typical American high society. The city’s Boston Symphony Orcllestra is the most aristocratic of all American orchestras, especially the string ensembles, praise. Seiji Ozawa is one of the very few examples of Asian musicians in charge of leading American orchestras, since the arrival of Seiji Ozawa, their music is more young energetic.
