蒸汽锤是我厂锻钢生产使用的主要设备之一。其砧座燕尾部金属在热状态下长期受交变冲击载荷作用,发生蠕变,加上反复受热和冷却,导致热疲劳破坏。轻者产生裂纹,严重时金属成块脱落,不能继续使用(图1)。对这种缺陷,以前采用手工电弧堆焊修复。由于堆焊金属量大(堆焊面积可达600×250×130mm),常常是3~4名焊工轮流施焊,劳动强度大,修复时间长。自改用埋弧堆焊工艺后,可提高工效5倍以上,工人劳动强度大大降低,先后修复了十几台砧座,使用情况良好。
