岳阳市岳阳楼区经济技术开发办公室、岳阳市新宇经济技术开发总公司成立于1992年8月,创建初由区政府提供资金310万元,征地616亩,现拥有资产总额5100万元,从业人员32人。下设岳阳市新宇经济技术开发总公司、岳阳市新宇城建发展公司、岳阳市新宇土地开发公司、岳阳中铁新宇快餐具有限公司、岳阳(中外合资)高宇房地产开发有限公司。几年来,该办在区委、区政府的正确领导下,取得了长足发展。
