自三峡工程开工建设以来,人们始终在等待一个数字的实现,那就是175米蓄水的成功。因为三峡水库只有蓄水到175米,才能够进入正常运行期,才能发挥最大效益。三峡工程的兴建,是人类改造大自然的一种力量表现,也是综合国力和施工技术的具体体现,20多项世界之最的工程,向人们表达了这样的文化信号,三峡工程是人类力量的象征,它最终也应该是人类文明的象征,它在为人类的幸福生活作出具体贡献的时候,也必将唤起人们对新生活的憧憬。也正是这种憧憬,加重了人们对175米蓄水的渴望和期待。
