Shanghai Qingzhen Hongchang Changxing Mutton Museum is a centuries-old restaurant that is famous both at home and abroad. It was founded in 1891 by the famous Peking Opera master Mr. Ma Liangliang’s Second Boma Spring Bridge, and still ranks as the leading halal industry in Shanghai. In 1996, due to the construction of the Yan’an Road viaduct, Hong Changxing decided to leave the site where it had been operating for 106 years and headed toward Nanjing East Road, becoming the first Muslim Museum on the “First Street in China” and the first shop in the Far East. Located on the 10th floor of Bao Daxiang Commercial Building, Nanjing East Road, Nanjing, North Gate of Guangxi, the new building of Hong Changxing started its design in February 1997. Construction began in May and it was completed and put into use in September.
