During the prevalence of the winter monsoon, it is often observed near the coast of our country a surge of waves of a different direction from that of the offshore wind that spreads from the sea to the shore. This surge occurs only in the coastal areas not far off the coast and at shallower depths and The source of the weather there is no shortage of maps, so tentatively named nearshore. In the past, in the wave forecasting work, because it did not attract the attention of people, it often resulted in underreporting or “post-reporting” mistakes. Based on the analysis of the wave and wind field data at sea, this paper shows the existence and characteristics of this nearshore inrush, and discusses its causes.
