Neuropathic pain is a direct result of injury or disease of the somatosensory nervous system. The Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signal transduction pathway is a classical signal transduction pathway that controls embryonic development. In recent years, it has been found that this signal pathway is not only involved in the development of the embryonic nervous system model, but also plays an important role in the homeostasis of mature organism. Therefore, it is gradually becoming a new research hotspot in the field of signal transduction. Recent literature shows that the Shh pathway regulates the neuropathic pain of hyperalgesia and its possible mechanism is related to changes in astrocyte activation, inflammatory factors and synaptic plasticity.
