Objective To investigate the distribution of different forms of arsenic in various organs and tissues of subchronic arsenic-exposed mice and the effects of arsenic on the balance of six other elements in the body. The effects of subchronic arsenic exposure on DNA damage were also studied. Methods 8-week-old C57BL / 6N mice were divided into two groups according to their body weight. The mice were inoculated with 0, 10μg / ml sodium arsenite solution through drinking water for 6 months. Results After arsenic exposure, arsenic accumulated significantly in all tissues and organs, and the contents of kidney, lung and liver were higher (563.9 ± 222.5), (458.6 ± 191.0) and (279.8 ± 81.2) ng / g , Lower in blood and brain tissue, respectively (82.2 ± 26.7) ng / ml and (101.8 ± 30.1) ng / g. The arsenic in the various organs and tissues of the mice in the exposure group mainly exists in the form of dimethylarsinic acid (DMA). Compared with the control group, the contents of Cr, Cu, Zn, Se and Pb in some organs of the treated group were significantly different (P <0.05), but there was no significant difference in the content of Cd. The content of 8-OHdG in the exposed group was (149.1 ± 1.0) ng / ml, which was significantly higher than that in the control group (76.4 ± 27.9) ng / ml. Conclusion The mice exposed to sub-chronic arsenic resulted in the distribution of arsenic in all tissues and organs, mainly in the form of dimethylarsinic acid. At the same time, arsenic also produced the balance of Cr, Cu, Zn, Se and Pb in the body Affect, and have certain DNA damage to the body.
