新华社西安10月31日电以创作长篇小说《保卫延安》而享誉中外的当代著名作家杜鹏程同志因病于10月27日在西安逝世,终年70岁。杜鹏程逝世后,刘澜涛、巴金、贺敬之、林默涵、陈荒煤、穆青、刘白羽、张光年、冯至、马烽和中宣部、中国作家协会等发唁电表示哀悼。杜鹏程出生于陕西省韩城县,1938年奔赴延安参加革命,1945年加入中国共产党。在50多年的革命生涯中,他始终坚持文艺为人民服务、为社会主义服务的方向,辛勤耕耘,顽强拚搏,创作出数百万字的优秀文学作品,其中长篇小说《保卫延安》是我国建国初期第一部讴歌人民解放
