With more than 60 years of history, Stellram manufactures carbide tools (20% for special tools) and some wear parts, with 75% of its exports. In 1990 there were 600 workers and 300 people in Switzerland with total sales of about 100 million Swiss francs. Each year, research and development funds make up an average of 8% of total sales.
