In 1985, we conducted on-site technical renovation of the Shangzhi Cement Plant’s heating engineering system. The results of the operation show that the heating effect is good and the economic benefits are significant. However, it has also been found that there are serious problems in some small and medium-sized heating systems, especially the small and medium-sized cities and the county heating systems. The most fundamental problem is that there are problems in the design. I. Heating system of Shangzhi Cement Plant The main heating load of Shangzhi Cement Plant is heating and a hot water supply for a bath. The total area of buildings requiring heating is approximately 34,900m2. One-fourth of the bungalows and one-storey tall buildings are located, and all buildings requiring heating are built around the workshop.
