5月16日,在中国工程院召开的应对四川汶川地震灾害科技咨询会上,地震与防灾工程专家、中国工程院院士谢礼立认为,从此次汶川地震中应该吸取以下教训:一是减轻地震灾害必须要将重点放到土木工程减灾方法上来,要因地制宜地发展有助于土木工程抗震的实用方法和技术;二是要尽量选择那些处于安全地带的居住环境,避开地壳运动活跃的断层以及容易发生滑坡、泥石流的恶劣环境;
