1993年,当冯小刚看到《温故一九四二》的小说时,他告诉自己,必须得把这个搬上银幕:2002年,《一九四二》建组,却最终因为没能把小说改编成令人满意的电影剧本而无奈搁置:2011年,万事俱备,东风吹来,阔别18年之久的“一九四二”情缘再度燃起:2012年,朝思暮想十几年,冯小刚终于拍完了《一九四二》,在他看来,这部历经135天、横跨7地拍摄的电影,跟其他中国电影很不一样,因为“它能震撼人心”。以史为鉴可以知兴替,这部电影就像是一面镜子,镜子里面我们的脸或许很丑,但“知丑”总比糊里糊涂地臭美好。三百万的灾民,尸横遍野,一部电影将那段被遗忘的历史重新带回到我们的面前,这是我们必须面对的真相,在探索历史的过程中,我们学会了“知耻”。即使电影不能这三百万人复活,但是也许能让他们的死变得有价值。
