自古以来,民间便有竹子开花是“兆荒年”、“不 吉利象征”和“竹子开花,年份不佳”等没有科学根据 的说法。那么,竹子开花是什么原因?有无补救复 壮的方法呢?不妨在此说说。 竹子开花的原因是:(1)由于竹子的生理成熟和 衰老而导致开花,是竹子生长发育从量变到质变的正 常生理现象。(2)天气干旱,土壤水分缺 乏,使竹株体内糖类浓度增高,以致营 养生长转向繁殖生长,便加速衰老周期 而引起开花。(3)林地土壤肥力严重衰 退贫瘠的情况下,亦是竹类开花的诱 因。(4)当老竹和老鞭充塞林内时,妨碍 新竹和新鞭的发育生长,使整个林分衰 老占优势而复壮困难,遂引起竹林开
Since ancient times, there has been no scientifically based argument that bamboo flowering among the people means “mega-years,” “auspicious symbols,” and “bamboo flowering and poor years.” So, what is the reason for the flowering of bamboo?
