内蒙古自治区国家税务局组建于1994年8月,主要负责全区范围内增值税、消费税、中央企业所得税等中央税收的征收管理工作。下辖直属稽查局、出口退税管理局、涉外税收管理局和14个盟市国税局,共有基层征收机构490个,在全区城乡设有办税服务厅267个,征收网络遍布全区城乡各地。全系统现有干部职工近12000人,负责全区21万户纳税人的征收管理工作。自治区国税局成立以来,在国家税务总局和内蒙古党委、政府的正确领导下,坚持“带好队、收好税”的工作方针,积极推进税制、征管、机构三项改革,各项建设事业取得了长足发展。2001年共组织各项税收70多亿元,比1994年增加29亿元,增长71%。1994-2001年累计组织税收收入438亿元,年均增长8%,年均增收4.1亿元,为促进自治区各项事业的发展做出了应有的贡献。自治区国税局在加强组织税收收入的同时,大力推进依法治税工作。对内积极推行税收执法责任追究制,加快金税工程
