Eight alkoxyalkylbenzotriazoles were synthesized by the reaction of benzotriazole with formaldehyde or acetaldehyde with methanol, ethanol, n-propanol and isopropanol respectively. The structures of the above compounds were characterized by IR and 1HNMR The determination was carried out and the course of such addition reaction was discussed.
