柳枯叶蛾Bhima undulosa Walker属鳞翅目、枯叶蛾科。当地俗称老棕索,有的又叫黑毛虫。在云南中部地区(昆明、宜良、玉溪、楚雄、曲靖等地)普遍发生,主要为害柳树,有时也加害滇杨、桃树、刺槐、梅树、李树、柿树,严重者将树叶全部吃光。柳枯叶蛾不仅为害多种园林植物而且对人、畜也经常带来伤害。我们用了近三年的时间对其生物学特性和防治进行了观察、研究和实验,现将结果报告于下。
