Objective To investigate the dynamic changes of body weight in 10 years and the relationship between other factors and blood pressure, further clarify the impact of body weight on blood pressure. Methods A cluster sampling method was used to survey the risk factors of cardiovascular disease and cardiopulmonary disease in the surveyed population from 1983 to 1984. The cohort was further investigated from 1993 to 1994. A total of 2083 males were investigated. 2,557 females. Results The mean body mass, BMI, systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in both men and women were higher than those of 10 years ago (P <0.01). The changes of body weight had different effects on blood pressure. The systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure were increased Mean body weight was greater than the same weight and weight loss group, the difference was significant, unchanged body weight and weight loss group systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure increased mean no significant difference; after controlling for age, partial correlation analysis showed baseline weight (BMI ), Follow-up body weight (BMI) and body weight (BMI) were positively correlated with systolic and diastolic blood pressure levels. Multivariate stepwise regression analysis showed that the independent variables influencing systolic blood pressure were age, family history, follow-up weight, follow- The independent variables influencing diastolic blood pressure were family history, age, follow-up weight, follow-up BMI and baseline BMI. Conclusion The increase of body weight is closely related to the increase of blood pressure. Taking an effective way to control the increase of body weight is one of the important measures to prevent the increase of blood pressure.
