之所以说没人能正确预测未来,最有力的证据是因特网(Internet)的快速膨胀。没有人看到它的来势会如此凶猛。从1993年时的情况看,因特网就象一个不可能实现的梦。那时没人愿意成天与匿名FTP、远程登陆telnet、VT-100仿真,更不用说Gopher和Archie以及Veronica等等一些令人发疯的名词纠缠不休,后来有人提出一个办法,通过开发一种名为HTML的协议和鼠标点击界面以及图形化的Web浏览器可以使整个事情简化,谁能想到形势会发生如此巨大变化?
The reason why nobody can correctly predict the future is that the most powerful evidence is the rapid expansion of the Internet. No one will see it coming so fiercely. From 1993’s situation, the Internet is like an impossible dream. No one was willing to chat with anonymous FTP, telnet, VT-100 emulation all the time, let alone enthralled names such as Gopher and Archie, Veronica, and others, and later came up with a solution by developing a system called HTML protocol and mouse click interface as well as a graphical Web browser can make the whole thing simple, who can think of the situation will happen so great change?
