西兰花,学名花椰菜,俗称绿菜花、青花菜等,属十字花科芸苔属甘蓝种中以绿花球为产品的一个变种,食用部分为绿色肥嫩花茎和花蕾。西兰花盛产于欧美各国,日本栽培也很普遍,随着我国人民生活水平的不断提高,近年来全国各省相继引种栽培,发展很快。西兰花不仅口感清爽、味道鲜美、令人回味无穷,而且营养价值及防病保健作用远远超出同类其他蔬菜,被誉为“蔬菜皇冠”。
Broccoli, scientific name cauliflower, commonly known as green cauliflower, broccoli, etc., is a Cruciferae Brassica species of green flower balls as a variant of the product, edible part of green stems and buds of green flowers.
