今后25年吸烟致死人数将大增根据世界卫生组织2006年11月28日公布的一份研究报告,2030年,全球将有830万人因与吸烟有关原因而死亡。在这25年间,因与吸烟有关原因而死亡的人数将增加53%。报告说,到2015年,因与吸烟有关原因死亡的人数将比艾滋病高50%,占全球死亡人数的10%。依据当前趋势的基本设想预测,研究人员认为,全球因与吸烟有关原因而死亡的人数将从2005年的540万人上升至2030年的830万人。
According to a WHO study released on November 28, 2006, by 2030, 8.3 million people worldwide will die of smoking-related causes. During these 25 years, the number of people who die as a result of smoking-related causes will increase by 53%. According to the report, by 2015, the number of deaths due to smoking will be 50% higher than AIDS and 10% of the global death toll. Based on the basic assumptions of current trends, researchers believe the global number of deaths due to smoking-related causes will rise from 5.4 million in 2005 to 8.3 million in 2030.
