现代民间绘画俗称农民画,是通俗画的一种,一般指由农民自己制作和为农民生活服务的绘画、印画形式。舞阳农民画则是现代农民画的代表之一。现代民间绘画是在农民生活富裕之后,文化水平相应提高,遂开始于纸面绘制创作性绘画。通过绘画的方式来寄情达意作为它们的精神享受,促使农民画得到了很大的发展。农民画更多表现的是真挚的情感,不加功利,不虚假造作,创作的画天真淳朴,真情流露而感人,极具艺术魅力。
Modern folk painting, commonly known as peasant painting, is a type of popular painting.
