为提高高速钢刀具切削性能延长刀具的使用寿命,赋与刀具以高硬度耐磨性、高抗粘屑性、良好耐蚀性能等,在气体氧氮碳共渗和气体软氮化基础上,试用离子冲击扩渗法进行离子氧氮化和离子软氮化处理。试验表明,离子氧氮化处理(550℃左右、10~25分钟氨氧比在1/100~1/70)可获得高硬度的渗层(1100HV以上)和良好的硬度分布,并在其外层复以薄的氧化层,使刀具具有优良性能和高度的使刚寿命。而且使用液化石油气有着来源方便、价格低廉之特点。两种工艺处理后刀具的使用寿命都能提高约5~8倍。同时,为扩大现有离子氮化炉的应用范围开辟了广阔道路,使离子冲击设备发挥更大作用。
