Reperfusion Injury is a new concept that was proposed in recent years. It refers to the body’s tissues or organs in poor blood perfusion, that is, after experiencing ischemia, hypoxia, due to liquid recovery or body tissue collateral circulation natural compensation and other factors, so that the circulation can be improved, the blood supply gradually restored to Body damage, this damage is called reperfusion injury. Since this damaging effect occurs after an ischemic reperfusion period, it is also known as Postischemia Injury. Reperfusion injury is essentially the main role of oxygen free radicals on tissue damage. It is now suggested that most of the clinical reperfusion or ischemic injury does not occur during ischemia, but mainly in the blood supply recovery, oxygen molecules re-enter the tissue.
