比较文学作为一门学科被建立的时候,它的精神基础究竟是什么?从来没有一门学科的研究对象包容了那么多的语言、文化和学科背景。文章企图从早期的比较文学学者有关论述出发,重新梳理“比较文学是人文主义”的命题。这个命题来自法国比较文学学者勒内.艾田伯。虽然从今天的立场来看,老一代人文主义学者的言论多少带有过于空洞的毛病,但是我们仍然应该返回到艾田伯的立场,结合现在科学研究所获得的新成果,重新来理解“比较文学是人文主义”的意义,让我们站在人类的某些共同性的立场上,恢复对文学表达人类生命感受的信心。
What is the spiritual basis of comparative literature when it is established as a subject? There has never been a subject that contains so many linguistic, cultural and academic contexts. The article attempts to start from the earlier account of comparative literature scholars to re-sort out the “comparative literature is humanism ” proposition. This proposition comes from the French comparative literature scholar Rene Artifone. Although from today’s standpoint there is too much rhetoric among the older generation of humanistic scholars, we should still return to Ai Tianbo’s position and re-understand the new achievements made by the present scientific research. Comparative literature is humanistic. "Let us stand on the common position of mankind and restore our confidence in the literary expression of the feelings of human life.
