为充分利用景洪３～５月的光、热资源，在植胶区利用吸水树脂进行橡胶幼苗抗旱栽培，使橡胶芽接桩定植期提早到３月下旬进行，可确保成活率达９８％以上。按照常规管理，年底可长到６蓬叶以上，比雨季开始后定植的多长２～３蓬叶，使橡胶非生产期缩短，从而达到提早割胶的目的。
