对全球通信业来说,固定移动的融合是重要趋势,3G则是移动通信中最重要最核心的技术领域。而全球3G稳步发展的今天,中国3G的技术路线、运营策略、业务创新等都将对全球3G甚至整个通信产业产生巨大的影响。专家认为,未来中国3G将是TD—SCDMA、cdma2000、WCDMA三足鼎立的局面。GSM/WCDMA一直主导着整个移动市场的格局,截止到2008年6月初,全球已经部署了220个商用WCDMA,有超过300家运营商在运营该制式,占运营商总数的83%以上。。在终端领域,WCDMA的发展也比较迅速,截止到2008年2月份,WCDMA网络全球有637款HSDPA终端。
