1998年11月19日,以北京市割市长刘敬民为团长的申办2001年世界大学生运动会代表团一行11人,携带着用锦盒铜字装帧的异常精美的国务院总理朱镕基亲笔签署的保证函和北京市贾庆林市长的亲笔信,怀着既有些紧张兴奋、又有些不安的结果未卜的心情,踏上了申办的最后、也是最关键的征程。我有幸做为代表团的成员经历这个全过程,对所做、所见、所闻感受颇深,现随手记下几个片段,以飨关心这届大运会申办的所有读者。“引路人”康巴纳辗转征途的第一站是西班牙的帕尔玛,这是行将举办1999年世界大学生运动会的城市,作为后继者,我们特意前去参观学习、吸纳经验,以完善自己。之后,代表团又飞抵比利时首都布鲁塞尔,大学生体育联合会的总部设在
