The kinetics of forward Water gas shift reaction was simulated successfully with Monte Carlo method. It reveals that the diffusion of H* plays an important role in the reaction, and that with the increase of mole fraction of water in the feed gas, the controlling step changes from the dissociation of H2O* to the titration of CO* by O*.
