In this paper, I read the novel “World History, Chapter 101/2” of the contemporary British writer Julian Barnes and understand the author’s different understanding of history and true relations in this work. Barnes, in “World History in Chapter 101/2,” again expresses his doubts about the right to speak of history through pieces, collages and subversions to relentlessly deconstruct the authenticity of history; Instead of expressing one’s own opinions, the voice goes away, trying to restore history, leaving the reader as if he or she were immersed in history.
