六十年代,专业艺术表演团体纷纷上山下乡,为农民服务,出现了“背篓精神”、“板车剧团”、“扁担剧团”,被农民誉为“我们自己的剧团”,深受群众欢迎和拥戴,一时传为佳话。现在生活水平提高了,条件也较之六十年代好得多,如果现在要求演员去背背篓、拖板车、挑扁担,恐怕不太实际,或者有些苛求。然而,问题并不在于形式,而是规在剧团上山下乡少了,为农民服务的观念淡漠了。把“背篓精神”请回剧团来,有两个含意:其一,是把艰苦奋斗的优良传统作风接过来,传下去。我们的国家还很穷,四化建设需要积累资金,艰苦奋斗仍然是长期要坚持的方针。文艺单位家底本来就不厚,更要勤俭办团,增收节支。不能赚多少分多少,摆阔
