6月3日,北京市通州区人民法院一审对盗版《大学英语》案进行宣判,因侵犯著作权罪,盗版《大学英语》的委印人、个体印刷经营业主孟祥国被判有期徒刑5年,并处罚金5万元,通州三元印装厂主要负责人李桂英被判有期徒刑2年零6个月,并处罚金3万元,其子金利杰因有立功表现免予刑事处罚。3名案犯均未提出上诉请求。至此,全国重点案件盗版《大学英语》案已全部审结。
On June 3, the People’s Court of Beijing Tongzhou District convicted the pirated “College English” for the first instance. Meng Xiangguo, owner of the individual printing business, was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment for copyright infringement and piracy of “College English” Fined 50000 yuan, Tongzhou ternary printing plant principal Li Guiying was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months imprisonment, and fined 30000 yuan, the son Jin Li Jie meritorious performance exempted from criminal penalties. None of the three perpetrators filed a petition for appeal. At this point, the national key case of piracy “College English” case has been concluded.
