安麦74—5系潮州市农科所用红芒与依尼亚杂交,经过多代选育,于1975年育成的一个中早熟小麦新品种。1981年—1982年两年参加广东省小麦新品种区域化试验,全省13个试点平均亩产183.4—193.9公斤,比对照种晋麦2148增产30.7—31.7%,在该组试验中居首位。1980年在潮州市开始大田种植示范,一般每亩产量200—250公斤,最高达350公斤以上。据统计,该品种1981年种植面积约2万亩,1983年发展为10万亩,是潮州市冬种小麦的主要当家品
