吸水剂是以淀粉及聚丙稀为原料的高分子合成聚合物,又称保水剂、持水剂、吸水性聚合物、高分子吸水性树脂。它是一种能够迅速吸收和保持自身重量数百倍乃至数千倍的去离子水,数十倍到近百倍的含盐水分和尿液,形成在外力作用下难以脱水的凝胶状物质(图1)。
