In 1984, our hospital measured the NA content of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in 70 patients with neurological diseases, of which 41 cases of cerebrovascular disease have been reported. The results of the other 29 cases are reported below. Among the 29 cases, the highest NA content was found in 2 cases of ALS (0.7865 ± 0.023ng / ml), compared with 13 cases of bone marrow disease (0.4176 ± 0.044), 2 cases of inflammatory demyelinating disease (0.3500 ± 0.005) and 4 cases of radiculopathy (0.3070 ± 0.005) (P <0.01 ~ 0.05). In 8 cases of intracranial lesions, the content of NA in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) was higher than that of ALS (0.5655 ± 0.014) in brain trauma, midline lesion and epilepsy (0.546-0.790ng / ml). Ziegler argues that ALS causes an increase in the NA content in the CSF, a decrease in glutamate decarboxylase (GABA) induced by neurons, resulting in blocked synthesis. GABA for the brain
