吉林省临江林业局第三小学教师张帆,利用汉语拼音和汉字构字规律,从1977年开始进行了“快速识字,读写并进”的教学改革实验,学生在入学后的前两年里,就能识字两千七百个左右,初步具备阅读能力和记叙完整事物的能力。这些实验,都是在不增加课时的情况下进行的,平时负担并未加重,而学生普遍得到了德、智、体、美、劳全面发展。她的实验已在不同招生对象的班级进行了三轮,其中前两轮的学生现都已升入中学,中学教师对这批实验班学生进行经常性的观察和考核,对学生的知识素质、能力均较满意。现在还在进行的第三轮学生,是按学区招收的独生子女。
