The “National Paint Craft Factory” in Xuzhou City is a small collective unit used by the City Iraqi Association and the mosque to produce self-support. Since its establishment in November 1981, the plant has received significant benefits for the purpose of providing funds for religious and ethnic activities, as well as addressing some of the employment and active market economy of Hui ethnic minorities. As of the end of October 1982, the total output value of the company has reached 131,000 yuan; in addition to corporate expenses, it has provided expenses and 31,000 yuan for the Iraqi Association and the mosque. The monthly salary of the employed personnel is an average of 51.43 yuan. In preparation for the construction of the factory, several Muslims volunteered to reconcile 800 people, including the retired employees of the Huimin Hotel and the Ma Yixuan Standing Committee.
