1918年秋,恽代英在武汉担任中华大学附中部教导主任。这所附中是当时武汉的名牌学校,武汉三镇的达官贵人,都愿将子女送到这所学校读书。但是,恽代英定了一条规矩:招收新生必须考试,择优录取。
In the autumn of 1918, Ying Daiying served as director of Central China’s Department of Education in Wuhan. This attached middle school was a famous brand school in Wuhan at that time, and all the dignitaries of the three towns in Wuhan were willing to send their children to this school. However, 恽 on behalf of Britain set a rule: recruiting new students must take the exam, merit-based admission.
