It is well-known that the size of the internal auditory meatus varies among individuals, which is of considerable importance in the interpretation of X-ray films. Although radiologists and otologists have tried diagnostic classification, the concept of internal auditory canal stenosis is still quite chaotic. Recently, it has been suggested that Paget’s disease, osteopetrosis and dysplasia of bone are the most common temporal bone deformities, which are related to some sensory neurological hearing loss and dizziness, and thus internal canal decompression is performed.
