This paper examines the amplitude and frequency changes associated with shallow reflection data and simple sledgehammer source parameter modification values. Data collected from three workplaces with different near-surface geologic conditions show the potential impact of hammer mass, velocity, plate mass, and plate surface area, where the seismic amplitude depends on plate area and mass but Affected by the weight of the hammer and plate quality is not big. In addition, although the total bandwidth of the recorded data is independent of changes in source parameters, the peak frequency of one of the stations increases by about 40 Hz as the area of the plate increases. The results show that the modified hand sledge source parameters are related to the work area. The experiment of this paper is fast, economical and simple, and can be used in other potential work areas to solve the problems of special work areas.
