开学后,儿子上七年级了,我去参加他们学校的接待日活动。在美国的中学里,老师有固定教室,学生则像走马灯一样轮流过来,分批上课。学生选的课不尽相同,同一个年级的孩子的课程表通常只有部分重合。例如早晨第一节课,有的学生去打网球,有的去参加乐队。结束后,他们再跑到下一个教室,上英语课、数学课等。我上中学的时候,除了极个别选修课外,一直在同一个教室里上课,学生不动老师动。学生从早到晚在一起,于是形成了“二一班”“三二班”之类的集体。有固定的班级,便有基于班级的班干部,如班长、副班长、学习委员、文娱委员、体育委员、劳动委员和各学科的课代表。这些干部起到了维持班级秩序、协助
After school, my son was in seventh grade, and I went to reception day in their school. In American secondary schools, teachers have fixed classrooms, and students turn around in the same way as the lantern lights and work in batches.
