在我的记忆中,青岛华阳路是一条工业街,在约2公里长的街道两侧,都是一些著名的企业,如卷烟厂、橡胶六厂、味精厂等,街面平时行人最少,只有早晚工厂上下班时,才会形成庞大的自行车队伍,宽畅的马路顿时显得十分拥挤。有人曾计算过,每天都有5万人到这条街上,以及周边的自行车工业公司等企业上班的工人。这一现象,在市内四区中,极为少见。工业从兴盛到衰落在上世纪80年代无法抗拒地爆发了,进入90年代时,城市空壳现象出现,一些企业垮台,而更多的企业为了减小成本,实施异地战略转移,原来忙碌的工厂,人去楼空,这条街道也由此变得更加空旷而又冷清。
