壳型铸造是把人造树脂砂烧结成薄壳铸型,用来浇注各种铸造合金。铸件铸出后表面光洁,可以代替粗加工,甚至不需要机械加工,既省工又省料。用壳型铸造球墨铸铁十九齿链轮,可以取消加工工序,与砂型铸造比较,能降低成本39%,提高劳动生产率2.5倍(由162分钟/件提高到50分钟/件)。用壳型铸出的联合收割机的可锻铸铁链环及灰铸铁轴承等,铸出后就可直接送到装配车间。
