由英国粘接剂工业有限公司研制成功的适用于金属的嵌缝密封材料(Metal fix),用途广泛,柔韧性能好。该产品主要用于密封金属包皮及金属管道上的接合缝,此外,还可用于对多孔薄膜、塑料及玻璃进行保温防水处理。这种密封材料以弹性橡胶为主要原料,产品供应的时候配备以修平刀,成品是带或条。该材料接触空气72小时即硫化。材料能够在-40℃至+120℃的温度范围内发挥作用,但施工的时候周围气温要求在5℃到40℃之间。密封材料硬化以后还可以防火。(赵桂莲摘译自英国《绝缘杂志》1987年11月)
Metal Fix, which has been successfully developed by British Adhesive Industry Co., Ltd., is widely used for metal and has good flexibility. This product is mainly used for sealing seams on metal sheaths and metal pipes. In addition, it can also be used for thermal insulation and waterproofing of porous films, plastics and glass. This seal material uses elastic rubber as the main raw material. The product is supplied with a trowel and the finished product is a tape or strip. The material was vulcanized when exposed to air for 72 hours. The material can function in the temperature range of -40°C to +120°C, but the ambient temperature during construction is between 5°C and 40°C.
