It has been reported that the ratio of the length of tentacles of female mosquitoes, that is, the sum of the lengths of the fourth and fifth sections of the tentacles and the length of the third section, can be used to distinguish morphologically very similar Anopheles gambiae and Anopheles nigra A.melas). Anopheles sinensis, which is considered to be greater than 0.81, is considered an Anopheles gambiae, and an Anopheles gambiae less than 0.81. In this paper, the author used PCR as a control test. Female mosquitoes used in the experiment were collected from Antura, off the coast of Guinea-Bissau. Divided into two groups, a group of 354, tentatively measured tentacles length ratio, after PCR; the other 195, first for PCR, tentacles length ratio measured.
