Through repeated neurostimulation, the neuromuscular transmission, motor nerve conduction velocity (MCV), sensory nerve conduction velocity (SCV), and sensory nerve potential (SNAP) amplitude were examined in 35 patients with lung cancer. It was found that the amplitude of CMAP decreased in repeated low-frequency stimulation in 8 cases of oat cell carcinoma, and the amplitude of CMAP increased in repeated high-frequency stimulation. The same changes were observed in 5 cases of non-small cell lung cancer. SNAP amplitudes in the median nerve and sural nerves of patients with lung cancer were significantly reduced. It is suggested that lung cancer has both neuromuscular transmission dysfunction and other peripheral nervous system lesions.
